COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The field is set for the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament, which begins with quarterfinal action on Tuesday, March 5. The tournament’s first four games will be hosted at the institutional sites of each of the top four seeds. Following Tuesday’s opening round of play, semifinal and championship games will be hosted at the site of the highest remaining seed. Colorado Mesa enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed following a contentious conclusion to the regular season.
After the final day of RMAC play, four teams stood tied at the top of the standings, resulting in a four-way tie for the regular-season title. Adams State, Colorado Mesa, Regis and University of Colorado Colorado Springs each finished their respective RMAC schedules with identical 18-4 records. After moving down the tiebreaker steps and comparing RMAC Performance Indicator averages among the top four, Colorado Mesa emerged as the tournament’s top seed. Regis enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed, while No. 3 seed Adams State and No. 4 seed UCCS round out the top-four spots of the RMAC Tournament field.
Colorado School of Mines enters the postseason as the fifth seed, while Black Hills State checks in as the sixth seed. Colorado Christian enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed, while Colorado State University Pueblo rounds out the field as the No. 8 seed.
As previously mentioned, each of Tuesday’s four quarterfinal matchups will be hosted at the institutional site of each of the top four seeds. Colorado Mesa will take on CSU Pueblo beginning at 5:30 p.m. MT on Tuesday, March 3, inside Brownson Arena. Regis will host Colorado Christian Tuesday at 6 p.m., inside Regis Field House in Denver, Colo. Adams State will host Black Hills State Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m., inside Plachy Hall in Alamosa, Colo. UCCS will round out the opening four matches and will host Colorado School of Mines Tuesday at 6 p.m., inside Gallogly Events Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Each of the seven games in the 2024 RMAC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be broadcast live on the
RMAC Network. Fans will be able to purchase access to each of the tournament’s seven games on the RMAC Network for the price of $9.95 per day pass.
