COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Westminster’s (8-2, 4-1 RMAC) Merritt McMahon and Christain Jones are the Week Six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week, the league announced Monday. The Griffins secured another RMAC win, setting up a crucial matchup against RMAC-leading Colorado Mesa on Saturday, Apr. 13 in Salt Lake City.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Merritt McMahon | Westminster | 5-Yr. | A | Bainbridge Island, Wash.
McMahon delivered another quality performance in the Griffins’ 18-6 conference victory over Concordia University Irvine on Sunday. The fifth-year attacker showcased his scoring and attacking ability, leading Westminster with six goals in the match. His second goal of the game with 10:26 left in the second quarter was the game winner during the Griffins’ stretch of six unanswered. McMahon added an unassisted fourth quarter score, capping off an excellent outing for the Washington State native.

Defensive Player of the Week: Christain Jones | Westminster | So. | G | South Jordan, Utah
Jones made 16 saves in Westminster’s league win to keep the Griffins unbeaten at home. The sophomore goaltender was in net for all 60 minutes of action, recording a .727 save percentage. Jones faced 41 total shots from the Golden Eagles and made seven saves in the final 15 minutes to lock down the win. The South Jordan, Utah, native is the league leader in save percentage (.608) in his nine games of action.
