2024 RMAC Softball All-Academic Release

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s Ally Distler is the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Player of the Year, the league announced Wednesday. Announced alongside Distler’s honor, the RMAC also released its 2024 Softball All-Academic First Team and Academic Honor Roll. The RMAC All-Academic rosters are voted on by the league’s 12 sports information directors.

Distler claims the 2024 RMAC Softball Academic Player of the Year honor with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in psychology. On the diamond, Distler was one of the top performers in the RMAC, ranking third in RBIs (68), home runs (19) and fourth in runs scored (62). Nationally, Distler’s home run and RBI totals rank ninth in Division II this season. With the help of Distler, the Mavericks claimed the RMAC regular-season title and a bid to the 2024 South Central Regional Championship as the No. 6 overall seed.

Seven RMAC institutions are represented on this year’s All-Academic first team, as Colorado Christian leads with four first-team roster spots. Colorado Mesa takes home three roster spots, while Colorado School of Mines earns two. Rounding out the first-team roster with one honoree apiece are Adams State, Fort Lewis, Metropolitan State University of Denver and Regis. Of the 13 total roster spots, five student-athletes boast 4.0 GPAs.
