Colorado Mesa Claims Department’s Third RMAC All-Sports Cup

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa is the winner of the 2023-24 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Sports Cup, the league announced Monday. The Mavericks closed out an incredible academic year in which seven programs earned RMAC titles. Colorado Mesa claimed its spot atop the league’s all-sports standings with 918.5 points for its third RMAC All-Sports Competition title, since the award’s inception
 
Colorado Mesa claimed the top spot, while Colorado School of Mines checked in at second place with 895 points. University of Colorado Colorado Springs rounded out the top three with 775 points. Colorado State University Pueblo ranked fourth in the standings with 751 points, while Western Colorado rounded out the top five with 640 points.
 
“Congratulations to the Mavericks on a tremendous run of success through all three RMAC seasons in 2023-24, culminating in their RMAC All-Sports Cup triumph,” said RMAC Commissioner Chris Graham. “The championship-level consistency of all programs made for a very impressive year at CMU. Congratulations to President John Marshall, Director of Athletics Joan McDermott, staff coaches, and student-athletes on their competitive excellence.”
 
The Mavericks closed out the 2023-24 academic year with an impressive seven RMAC regular-season championships. Among the league’s core sports, the Mavericks claimed regular-season titles in both men’s and women’s basketball. Additionally, the Mavs earned conference championships in softball, baseball, men’s lacrosse, men’s swimming and diving and women’s swimming and diving.
 
In sixth place is Metropolitan State University of Denver with 634 points, followed by Regis in seventh place with 614 points. Fort Lewis completed the year in eighth place with 608 points, just ahead of ninth place Adams State with 604.5 points. Colorado Christian rounded out the league’s top 10 with 536 points.
 
Chadron State checked in at 11th place with 498.5 points, while Black Hills State finished in 12th place with 476.5 points. South Dakota Mines (473.5 points), Westminster (361.5 points) and New Mexico Highlands (347 points) complete the standings.
