Vindivich, Waller, and VanDeList Named Week 3 RMAC Volleyball Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its Week Three RMAC Volleyball Players of the Week on Monday. South Dakota Mines’ Ivy Vindivich is joined by Colorado Mesa’s Allison Waller and Sabrina VanDeList on the league’s latest weekly awards list.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Ivy Vindivich, South Dakota Mines (So., OH, Puyallup, Washington)
Vindivich was instrumental in the Hardrockers pair of sweeps over the weekend. The reigning RMAC Freshman of the Year racked up 26 kills, averaging 4.33 kills per set, collecting 12 and 14-kill outings in the weekend’s contests. With the help of Vindivich, the Hardrockers hit at a .290 clip and improved to 6-4 on the season.

Defensive Player of the Week: Allison Waller, Colorado Mesa (Jr., L, Loveland, Colorado)
Waller averaged 5.33 digs per set and was perfect on 16 service receptions, helping the Mavericks sweep their two opponents to open RMAC play. In the first matchup of the weekend, the Loveland, Colorado native picked up 18 digs and four assists, leading the Mavericks to a 3-0 victory against Western Colorado. She followed that performance with a 14-dig and four-assist outing, securing CMU’s second sweep of the weekend. The Mavericks’ defense held its opponents to a combined .118 team attack percentage, with Waller leading all players in digs.

Setter of the Week: Sabrina VanDeList, Colorado Mesa (R-Sr., S, Severance, Colorado)
VanDeList put her name atop the Colorado Mesa record books this weekend as the Mavs swept both their RMAC opponents. On Friday, VanDeList became the Mavs’ all-time leader in career service aces (156), with two aces along with 37 assists and nine digs. In CMU’s next contest, she added 39 assists, six digs, and another ace, setting the program record for career assists (4,220). VanDeList also surpassed the 1,000-dig milestone, becoming the 13th Maverick to achieve that feat. She is the first Mavericks’ volleyball player with 4,000 assists and 1,000 digs during their career.
