CCU’s Sungyeop Cho Earns Week Two RMAC Men’s Golfer of the Week Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its latest RMAC Men’s Golfer of the Week award on Thursday. Colorado Christian’s Sungyeop Cho claims the award after an impressive weekend at the Division II National Championship Preview.
 
Men’s Golfer of the Week: Sungyeop Cho, Colorado Christian (So., Yeoju-si, South Korea)
Cho had a tremendous tournament as the No. 1 ranked Cougars traveled to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for the Division II National Championship Preview. On the par-71 PGA National Resort Golf Course, Cho fired off a first-round 65 while collecting seven birdies. He followed that with a second-round 68 and five more birdies. In the rain-shortened event, Cho and the Cougars battled against nine of the Top 14 teams in the country, besting the field by three strokes. His performance earned him individual medalist honors and pushed CCU to the team’s second straight tournament win.
