COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo is the 2024-25 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Preseason favorite, announced Thursday in the 2024-25 RMAC Women’s Golf Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The ThunderWolves earned eight first-place votes and 80 total points from the league’s 10 head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own program.
 
The Pack are on the hunt for a third consecutive conference crown after completing the impressive back-to-back last season. CSU Pueblo won the team championship by 22 strokes, aided by having three of the top five scores. Two of those golfers are back for head coach Tammy Lim’s squad, with Freya Constable and Lisa Ekberg leading the way.
 
Colorado Christian ranks second in this year’s poll, earning 67 total points. The Cougars enter 2024-25 looking for a team podium finish after coming in fourth in Las Vegas, Nev. Experience is in abundance for head coach Ashlyn Kennedy’s group, including three upperclassmen who scored among the top 20 at the RMAC Championships last season.
 
Colorado Mesa narrowly checks in at third position, despite earning two first-place votes. The Mavericks finished as the conference’s runner-up last season and have lots of depth to find that elusive conference crown.
 
Metropolitan State University of Denver earned 56 points for fourth place, while Westminster tallied 49 points to round out the top five.
 
Chadron State follows narrowly behind with 43 points, while South Dakota Mines sits next at 35 points. Fort Lewis (35 points), Black Hills State (18 points) and Adams State (10 points) round out the results of the 2024-25 poll.
 
The fall women’s golf season tees off with seven RMAC schools competing in The Swan Memorial tournament on Sept. 9-10. Following the fall, the spring season will conclude with the 2025 RMAC Women’s Golf Championships at Boulder Creek Country Club in Las Vegas, Nev.
