COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo’s Kevin Boston is the RMAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Boston earns the latest RMAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week award after leading the ThunderWolves at the Western Colorado Open. Boston picked up 96 total points across his six matches.
Men’s Wrestler of the Week: Kevin Boston, CSU Pueblo (Fr., 149, Omaha, Nebraska)
Boston took home first place at the Western Colorado Open in Gunnison, Colorado. The freshman picked up one sudden victory win, one major decision win, and a pair of tech fall victories to win the 149-pound weight class. The following day, Boston competed in the Tracy Borah Duals, also hosted in Gunnison, Colorado, leading the ThunderWolves to a pair of dual wins. The Omaha, Nebraska native first recorded a 23-6 tech fall victory against Simon Fraser’s Ryan Hicks before earning a 13-4 major decision win in his bout against Caelan Alderman of Newberry College. On the weekend, Boston went 6-0, collecting three tech fall wins, two major decisions, one sudden victory, and a first-place title.
