CMU’s Naskret and Datilio Win RMAC Women’s Swimming & Diving 6th Weekly Awards

Naskret powers to NCAA “A” marks in the 100 and 200 backstroke events, Datilio posts career-best in 1-meter diving event against Utah

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University junior Agata Naskret and sophomore Talia Datilio picked up the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Swimmer & Diver of the Week honors, respectively, on Wednesday.
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Agata Naskret, Colorado Mesa (Junior, Bydgoszcz, Poland)
Naskret won her third RMAC Swimmer of the Week honor after winning the 200 backstroke event at the UNLV Invitational, which included six Division I programs. She posted an NCAA Championship “A” qualifying time of 1:56.49 in her backstroke victory. Naskret also posted an “A” time in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 53.49 seconds.

Women’s Diver of the Week
Talia Datilio, Colorado Mesa (Sophomore, Mesa, Arizona)
Datilio set a personal best in the 1-meter diving event against Utah, scoring 229.73 over six dives to finish third in the competition. She also added a 224.40 mark in the 3-meter event. At the UNLV Invitational before the holiday, Datilio bested 10 Division I divers with a mark of 235.20 in the 3-meter event and added a 213.0 mark in the 1-meter event.
