Announced with the 2025 RMAC Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches’ Poll was the 2025 RMAC Women’s Lacrosse Players to Watch.
The Rangers head into the 2025 season aiming to hoist their sixth consecutive RMAC tournament crown. Led by head coach Sarah Kellner, the Rangers have seven straight NCAA Tournament appearances, five consecutive RMAC tournament championships, and five-straight RMAC regular season titles. Since taking over the Rangers program, Kellner has become a household name, earning six RMAC Coach of the Year honors and an outstanding .730 win percentage. On the field, the Rangers are led by Megan Bunker, Madeline Schallmoser, Maggie Schipfer, and Terah Skillings who all earned First Team All-RMAC honors in 2024. Attacker Shea Murphy looks to take another leap this year, after earning a Second Team All-RMAC roster spot last season.
Colorado Mesa checks in at No. 2 in the preseason poll following an 11-6 overall record in 2024. The Mavericks have reached the RMAC tournament championship game each of the last four years. They also have finished second in the regular season standings in three of those years, earning a share of the RMAC title in 2023. The Mavs return Justine Anderson, the reigning RMAC Attacker of the Year, who led the Mavericks with 51 goals last season, earning 63 total points. Ashley Delaney enters her second year as the Mavericks head coach and her fifth on the coaching staff.
The Mountain Lions will start the 2025 season with a new head coach, Brice Queener, who takes over following a five-year stint as the associate head coach at the University of Denver where he helped the Pioneers win four-straight Big East Tournament Championships. On the field, the Mountain Lions return 20 student-athletes from last year, including RMAC Freshman of the Year Sarah Urbanic. UCCS also returns 2024 Second Team All-RMAC honorees Erica Rivera and Kendra Knutson. With the help of the Mountain Lions’ big three, UCCS ranked second in the league last year in shot percentage (.420) and third in points per game (15.06), shots per game (26.06), and shots on goal per game (19.06).
The 2025 season will begin on Friday, February 14th, with Colorado Mesa and Westminster in action. The 10-week RMAC season begins on March 9th, beginning the push for the 2025 RMAC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament. The 2025 tournament will take place on April 25th and 27th on the campus of the highest seed.
