COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Simon Fraser University has been voted the preseason favorite in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestling Preseason Poll, announced Thursday, along with the Preseason All-RMAC Teams.

Highlighting the Preseason All-RMAC team are Colorado Mesa’s Marjorie McDaniel and Simon Fraser’s Lene McCrackin, the reigning RMAC Co-Freshmen of the Year from the 2024-25 season. The RMAC’s preseason team is determined by placing returning players in order of head coaches’ voting from the league’s 2024 All-RMAC Teams.

Simon Fraser nearly swept the 2025–26 RMAC Women’s Wrestling preseason coaches’ poll, earning 15 points and three of the four available first-place votes. Under the guidance of head coach Justin Abdou, the Red Leafs are coming off a dominant campaign that saw them notch nine victories and go undefeated in conference duals. The team capped its conference season with a runner-up finish at the 2025 RMAC Women’s Wrestling Championships before going on to place third at the Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Coalition Regional Tournament. Simon Fraser concluded its postseason with a 21st-place finish at the National Women’s Wrestling Championships.
