Simon Fraser’s Kennedy Claims Third RMAC Swimming & Diving Weekly Honor

Kennedy posts two Division II B qualifying marks

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Simon Fraser University sophomore Keira Kennedy is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s latest women’s swimming & diving weekly honoree for the period Oct. 6-19, announced Thursday.

Kennedy secured a pair of NCAA Division II B qualifying marks in Simon Fraser’s triangular with UC San Diego and  Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Oct. 18 in La Jolla, California . She posted a 17:01.34 in the 1650-yard freestyle to win the event and earn a B Qualifying mark. Kennedy also posted a season-best in the 500-yard freestyle, with a B-Qualifying mark of 4:58.48 that topped her previous best by 13.44 seconds, and won the event.
