COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines sophomore Vladislav Kazakin and Colorado Mesa University junior David Roethlisberger are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, following competitions of Oct. 20-26.

Swimmer

Vladislav Kazakin, Colorado School of Mines (Sophomore, Parker, Colorado)
Kazakin scored three individual wins and a relay win in dual competitions against Colorado College and Colorado Mesa. He won the 100-yard butterfly event against Colorado College with a time of 46.70. Kazakin then won the 1000-yard freestyle against Colorado Mesa with a time of 9:51.44 and added a win in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.48. He was also part of Colorado School of Mines’ winning 400-yard freestyle relay team.

Diver

David Roethlisberger, Colorado Mesa (Junior, Blacksburg, Virginia)
Roethlisberger won both diving events in Colorado Mesa’s dual against Colorado School of Mines. He bested the NCAA qualifying standard in both events, scoring a 335.55 on the 3-meter board and 318.45 on the 1-meter board.
