COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fort Lewis College and Colorado Mesa University have been unable to reschedule their women’s soccer contest originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3. As a result, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has declared that match “no contest.”

The match was suspended in the 13th minute due to lightning and could not resume within the three-hour window designated by NCAA rules.

After good-faith efforts by both programs and a review of schedules by the conference office, the teams were unable to identify a mutually agreeable date to resume play without requiring one team to compete in three matches in five days or four matches in six days. In the best interest of the student-athletes, it was determined that rescheduling the contest within that timeframe would not be appropriate. Therefore, the Fort Lewis/Colorado Mesa match has been ruled a no contest.

As a result, the RMAC has determined, in accordance with its bylaws, that the women’s soccer tournament qualification and seeding will be based on points per match (PPM). The RMAC standings page on its official website will be updated to reflect this change.
