COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University redshirt junior Guillaume Guth and junior Jax Juarros swept the second edition of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week awards, presented Thursday.
Swimmer
Guillaume Guth, Colorado Mesa (Junior (RS), Toulouse, France)
Guth, a 2024 Paris Olympian for his native France, impressed in his first collegiate meets at the CMU Intermountain Shootouts against BYU and Adams State. He posted Division II bests in the 50 freestyle (20.08) and 100 freestyle (43.20 altitude-adjusted), while his 1:37.22 altitude-adjusted time in the 200 freestyle was third best in Division II. Guth also swam on the Mavericks 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, and 400 medley relay teams, which each posted Division II bests, with the 200 medley relay settling in at No. 3 in Division II.
Diver
Jax Juarros, Colorado Mesa (Junior, Gilbert, Arizona)
Juarros opened his 2025-26 campaign by recording an NCAA qualifying points haul in the 3-meter competition during CMU’s Intermountain Shootout against BYU. He scored second-place finishes in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. He scored 308.85 points in the six-dive 3-meter event, which earned him an NCAA qualifying mark, before scoring 425.85 points in 11 dives of the 1-meter board.
