Retzlaff, Kuester, & Yee Pick Up RMAC’s Week 10 Football Awards

Retzlaff caught a game-winning touchdown in CSU Pueblo’s overtime victory, while Kuester intercepted a pass and Yee hit a game-winning field goal in Chadron State’s overtime win

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo wide receiver Reggie Retzlaff, as well as Chadron State College defensive back Aiden Kuester and kicker Wilson Yee, are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Week 10 Players of the Week, presented by Genesee Nutrition, announced Monday.

Retzlaff enjoyed a three-touchdown day at Colorado School of Mines, including a 12-yard game-winning touchdown reception in overtime. Kuester had two interceptions, including one in overtime, while Yee connected on a 47-yard walk-off field goal against Western Colorado.

Offensive

Reggie Retzlaff, CSU Pueblo (Senior (RS), Wide Receiver, Corona, California)
Retzlaff’s 12-yard touchdown reception in overtime helped CSU Pueblo overcome a 22-point deficit to down Colorado School of Mines, 41-34 in overtime, on Saturday. He finished the game with eight receptions for 82 yards and three touchdowns. Retzlaff also had an 18-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to reduce a 22-point deficit to 28-13. He then had a 14-yard TD reception with 9:23 left in regulation to make it a 34-27 contest. It was his second three-TD outing of the season, becoming the third RMAC receiver with multiple three-TD outings this season.

Defensive

Aiden Kuester, Chadron State (Sophomore (RS), Defensive Back, Neligh, Nebraska)
Making his second start this season, Kuester notched his first two career interceptions to help Chadron State upset Western Colorado, 27-24 in overtime, on Saturday. He finished the day with four tackles, one for loss, and two interceptions. Kuester’s first interception came with 12:44 left in regulation, setting up Chadron State on the Western Colorado 15-yard line, a drive that resulted in a go-ahead touchdown. In overtime, his interception came on the first play of the extra period to deny Western Colorado a scoring opportunity. Chadron State would kick a field goal on its ensuing possession to secure the win.

Wilson Yee, Chadron State (Senior, Kicker, Littleton, Colorado)
Yee connected on a 47-yard field goal in overtime to deliver Chadron State a 27-24 victory against Western Colorado. He also had a 50-yard field goal midway through the second quarter for Chadron State’s first points of the game and finished the day 2-for-3 on field goals and 1-of-2 on PATs to finish with seven points. Yee also handled kickoff duties and had three touchbacks on five kickoffs, with two returns totaling 14 yards.
