COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Simon Fraser University sophomore Keira Kennedy and Western Colorado University senior Alexandra Wallis are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s latest women’s swimming & diving weekly honorees for the period Nov. 3-9, announced Thursday.

Swimmer

Keira Kennedy, Simon Fraser (Sophomore, Calgary, Canada)
Kennedy won two events in a five-team event hosted by Grand Canyon last weekend. She won the 500-yard freestyle and claimed a Division II B qualifying standard with a time of 4:57.55. Kennedy repeated the feat in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:09.14.  Kennedy finished fourth in the 400 individual medley (4:36.19) and competed in the 200-yard freestyle event (1:56.57). She now has the RMAC’s second-best mark in both the 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle events.

Diver

Alexandra Wallis, Western Colorado (Senior, Thornton, Colorado)
Wallis won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions at Nebraska-Kearney’s Invitational last weekend. She posted a score of 382.55 in the 1-meter event and a 218.85 mark in the 3-meter diving competition. Wallis’ 3-meter performance moved her into fourth on the RMAC best list for six dives.
