COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Chadron State’s Hunter Jacobsen is the Week 2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Hunter Jacobsen, Chadron State (Sophomore, 133 pounds, Lincoln, Nebraska)
Jacobsen claims the Men’s Wrestler of the Week award following two dominant performances against Otero and Fort Hays State. The sophomore made quick work of his Otero opponent, securing a fall in just 1:37 to give his team six points. Jacobsen carried that momentum into the dual against Fort Hays State, where he earned a commanding 19-2 technical fall. Thanks in part to Jacobsen’s 11 combined points, Chadron State rolled to decisive victories, defeating Otero 54-0 and Fort Hays State 40-0. Up next for Chadron State is a Nov. 22 outing at the University of Nebraska Kearney Open.

Others Nominated: Christian Pebley, Colorado Mesa; Laith Ibrahim, Colorado School of Mines; Sebastian Freeman, New Mexico Highlands.
