Trio of RMAC Teams Selected to NCAA D2 Women's Soccer Championship

Orediggers, Mountain Lions, and Mavericks start journey on Friday

INDIANAPOLIS – Three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's soccer teams were selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship, which begins Thursday and Friday at campus sites across the country. 

Colorado School of Mines, the RMAC Tournament Champion and the league's automatic qualifier, is the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region bracket which is led by No. 1 seed Dallas Baptist University. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is the No. 3 in the same bracket with RMAC Regular-Season Champion Colorado Mesa University beginning the tournament as the No. 5 seed. 

The Mavericks kickoff action at 4 p.m. (MT) Friday against No. 5 seed Texas Woman's University at Patriot Soccer Field, the home of No. 1 seed DBU. The winner of Friday's match advances to face the Patriots in a 2 p.m. (MT), Sunday contest. 

The Mountain Lions start tournament play at 5 p.m. (MT), Friday against No. 6 seed Midwestern State University at Stermole Soccer Stadium, home of the Orediggers. Colorado School of Mines will host the winner of that Friday match in a 3 p.m. (MT), Sunday contest. 

NCAA Women’s Division II Soccer Championships set for December in Colorado Springs

The 2025 Division II Women's Soccer Championship will conclude its run at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, the host of the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s & Women’s Soccer Championships. The women's national semifinals will be played on Thursday, Dec. 11, followed by the national championship on Saturday, Dec. 13. Ticket information for the national championship will be available at NCAA.com.

NCAA Division II Championships to air free of charge on NCAA platforms

Divisions II and III will livestream more than 1,200 championship games free to fans for the 2025-26 academic year. This streaming initiative will enhance the visibility and accessibility of Division II and III championships.

Through a partnership with Hudl and TNT Sports, all rounds of team championships not already covered by existing ESPN or CBS agreements will be streamed free of charge on a centralized platform powered by Hudl. Fans will be able to watch these games via ncaa.com/champs-pass and the NCAA Championships Pass app, available on smart TVs.
