COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Simon Fraser University freshman Evan Vellescig is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Swimmer of the Week following competitions of Nov. 3-17.

Evan Vellescig, Simon Fraser (Freshman, Coquitlam, Canada)
Vellescig had a busy weekend when Simon Fraser traveled to Grand Canyon University for a quadrangular that also included Ottawa University and Arizona Christian. He competed in eight events, winning the 400-yard individual medley in 4:02.26. Vellescig also set personal bests in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.79) and 200-yard individual medley (1:52.01), finishing second and third, respectively. He also finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:02.18). Vellescig was also a member of the Red Leafs’ 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay, and 400 medley relay teams.
