COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – No. 3 seed Regis University and No. 4 seed Westminster University won their respective quarterfinal matches on Sunday and advanced to the semifinal round of the 2025 RMAC Men's Soccer Championship.
Regis advances to face No. 2 seed MSU Denver in a 5 p.m., Wednesday match at The Assembly Athletic Complex in downtown Denver. Westminster faces No. 1 seed University of Colorado Colorado Springs in a 5 p.m., Wednesday match at the Mountain Lion Stadium in Colorado Springs.
No. 3 Regis def. No. 6 Colorado Mesa, 3-1
DENVER, Colo. – Regis University scored three second-half goals in a 17 minute span to move past No. 6 seed Colorado Mesa, 3-1, in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 RMAC Men's Soccer Tournament at the Regis Turf Fields. Colorado Mesa's Nathan Hernandez scored in the 8th minute for the first half's only goal. Meanwhile, Mavericks goalkeeper Nathan Beck turned aside five Regis shots on goal in the opening frame, allowing CMU to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Regis would erase that lead in the 59th minute on Blaise Richard's goal and took the lead nine minutes later courtesy Elias Taubo. Johan Murillo provided an insurance goal in the 75th minute. Rangers forward Jason Robles was credited with an assist on all three goals to lead the way in points while goalkeeper Zach Jennings made three saves on four shots on goal.
No. 4 Westminster def. No. 5 CSU Pueblo, 1-0 (overtime)
SALT LAKE CITY – Jack Cardwell's goal in 95th minute sent No. 4 seed Westminster to a 1-0 victory against No. 5 seed CSU Pueblo in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 RMAC Men's Soccer Tournament at Dumke Field. The first half was a sedate affair with each team putting one shot on goal that was turned aside. CSU Pueblo had its chances in the second half, putting five shots on goal, but Westminster's Tommy Manwaring kept out of the net. Westminster only tested CSU Pueblo's Esteban Gonzalez twice in the second half before putting the only overtime shot on goal into the net.
