COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa redshirt sophomore Sammy Mobly is the latest winner of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday.

Mobly delivered a dominant performance at the Bob Smith Open on Sunday, going a perfect 5-0 to claim the 157-pound title. The victory marked his first collegiate tournament championship and boosted his season record to 10-4. The redshirt-sophomore set the tone early, earning pins in each of his first three matches. On his way to the title, Mobly defeated Riley Robinson (Otero College), George Tahdooahnippah (CSU Pueblo), Justus Hulse (Fort Hays State), Johnny Thomas (Fort Hays State), and Dario Petrucelli (Air Force Prep).
