Cline Named Week 12 RMAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa’s Owen Cline claims the Week 12 RMAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week award, the league announced Tuesday. Cline, an Orting, Washington native, grabs the latest RMAC award after going 2-0 for the Mavericks in a pair of conference duals.
 
Men’s Wrestler of the Week: Owen Cline, Colorado Mesa (So., 157, Orting, Washington)
Cline had a big weekend for the Mavericks, going 2-0 against Colorado State University Pueblo and Colorado School of Mines wrestlers. In Thursday’s dual against CSU Pueblo, Cline defeated NCAA National Qualifier Cyrus Meeks by 10-3 decision. Cline collected three points for the Mavericks, helping them best the ThunderWolves 25-19. The next day, the 157-pound wrestler squared off against No. 11 Marcus Caro of Colorado School of Mines, defeating him by tech fall 18-3. On the season, Cline is 8-3, with only one of those losses coming at 157 pounds.
