COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Adams State’s Austria Holland is the 2024-25 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Year, the league announced on Thursday as one of its major awards and alongside All-RMAC rosters.

Colorado Mesa’s Marjorie McDaniel and Simon Fraser’s Lene McCrackin were voted the RMAC Women’s Wrestling Co-Freshman of the Year. Simon Fraser head coach Justin Abdou earned the Coach of the Year honor for the second straight year. Additionally, 20 student-athletes were named to the All-RMAC first and second teams.

The RMAC Women’s Wrestling Major Awards are nominated and voted on by the league’s five head coaches. The All-RMAC teams were determined by the top two finishers in each weight class at the RMAC Women’s Wrestling Championships.

Holland was a dominant force all season for the Grizzlies, with a 12-1 record this season, including a 5-0 mark in RMAC duals. The sophomore captured the RMAC crown at 110 pounds at the 2025 Championship and was named Wrestler of the Championship. Holland’s remarkable performances earned her recognition as one of the top athletes in the nation at her weight class, becoming the seventh-ranked wrestler at 110 pounds in NCAA Division II.

McDaniel earns a share of the Freshman of the Year title following a 24-9 regular season. The freshman competed in the 117-pound weight class throughout 2024-25 and stood atop the podium at the RMAC Championship after defeating Simon Fraser’s Maddie Mackenzie. As the ninth-ranked wrestler at 117 pounds, she helped the Mavericks finish with a 3-1 conference record and take home the first RMAC Tournament Championship trophy.

McCrackin was unstoppable for the Red Leafs throughout the 2024-25 season. The redshirt freshman was undefeated in conference duals and claimed first place at the RMAC Championship. Competing at 160 pounds, she earned the number seven ranking in Division II and helped her squad secure the RMAC regular season title for a second consecutive season with a perfect 4-0 record.

Abdou claimed his second consecutive Coach of the Year title after leading his squad to a 4-0 conference record and their second RMAC regular season title in as many years. Abdou coached eight student-athletes to podium finishes at the RMAC Championships, including three first-place finishers. With Abdou at the helm of the Red Leafs, Simon Fraser secured 129 points at the Championship, besting the next closest opponent by 46 points.

All five RMAC institutions are represented among the 20 positions on the league’s first and second-team All-RMAC rosters. Colorado Mesa leads the way with nine total honorees, while Simon Fraser comes in second with five. Adams State earns three roster spots, Chadron State claims two, and Texas Woman’s adds one.
