COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Westminster University’s Jordan Williamson and Colorado Mesa University’s Heather Hawkins are the Week 7 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
 
Williamson earns the Offensive Player of the Week award following a 15-goal weekend for the Griffins, while Hawkins claims her second defensive honor after recording a .696 save percentage over two games.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Jordan Williamson, Westminster (So., Attacker, Reno, Nevada)
Williamson was a force in the Griffins’ dominant victories over Fort Lewis College and Colorado State University Pueblo. To open the weekend, Williamson was nearly flawless, taking 12 shots and putting 11 on target, with 10 finding the back of the net, giving her an outstanding .917 shot-on-goal percentage. Her 10 goals in a single game are tied for the second-most in Division II this season, just one shy of the top mark. On Sunday, against the ThunderWolves, the sophomore continued her hot streak, scoring five more goals while recording a .800 shot-on-goal percentage. With 29 goals (3.63 per game), Williamson currently ranks third in the RMAC for goals this season, while her 33 points (4.13 per game) place her third in the conference for points per game.

Defensive Player of the Week: Heather Hawkins, Colorado Mesa (Fr., Goalie, Palmer Lake, Colorado)
Hawkins was exceptional in goal for the Mavericks, anchoring her team to victories over CSU Pueblo and Fort Lewis. The freshman opened the week with a stellar performance, allowing just two goals and making nine saves for a solid .818 save percentage. She followed that up with another strong showing against the Skyhawks, registering seven saves and helping propel the Mavs to a 17-6 win. The Palmer Lake, Colorado native has logged 441:44 minutes this season and currently ranks second in the RMAC with a 10.32 goals-against average. She also sits second in the conference for save percentage (.503) and third in saves per game (8.56).
