COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo sophomore Helen Braybrook and Colorado School of Mines senior Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge are the 2024-25 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Track Athletes of the Year, the league announced Thursday, along with the league’s other major award winners and All-RMAC roster.

Colorado School of Mines junior Avery Wright is the league’s Field Athlete of the Year, while Rujeko Munetsi of New Mexico Highlands University is the RMAC Freshman of the Year. Colorado School of Mines head coach Matt Sparks was selected by his peers as the league’s Coach of the Year award winner.

The RMAC awards are selected and voted on by the league’s 15 women’s indoor track & field head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their players.

The All-RMAC Teams are based on results at the RMAC Championships, with first-, second-, and third-place finishers named First Team All-RMAC and fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-place finishers earning Second Team All-RMAC recognition. Additionally, members of the first-place relay teams earned First Team All-RMAC honors, while members of the second-place relay teams received Second Team All-RMAC recognition.

Eighty-two individuals earned All-RMAC recognition, garnering a total of 106 honors. UCCS led all teams with 16 individuals earning 20 All-RMAC honors. Other schools with All-RMAC honorees included Adams State (10 individuals, 12 honors), Black Hills State (1/1), Colorado Christian (1/1), Colorado School of Mines (14/18), Colorado Mesa (13/15), CSU Pueblo (8/15), Fort Lewis (1/1), MSU Denver (3/3), New Mexico Highlands (7/11), South Dakota Mines (1/1), and Western Colorado (7/8).

Braybrook, a native of Frieston, England, won the 800-meter dash and was a member of CSU Pueblo’s first-place distance medley relay team and its second-place 4x400 relay team at the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in February. She went on to become the NCAA Division II National Champion in the 800-meter event with a time of 2:04.72, while the ThunderWolves distance medley relay team won the national title in 11:14.45 with Braybrook running the anchor leg.

Ramsey-Rutledge, a product of Hutchinson, Kansas, finished second in the 5,000-meter run at the RMAC Championships. However, she bounced back to become the NCAA Division II National Champion in that event with a time of 16:03.45, defeating the field by more than seven seconds.

Wright, of Cortez, Colorado, won the Women’s Pentathlon while also finishing second in the 60-meter hurdles and running the final leg of the Orediggers’ third-place 4x400 relay team at the RMAC Championships.

Munetsi, from  Harare, Zimbabwe, made a splash in her debut season at the RMAC Championships. She finished fourth in the 200-meter dash, fifth in the 60-meter dash, and was the lead leg of the Cowgirls’ 4x400 relay team, which finished fifth at the championships. She went on to appear in the 60-meter preliminaries at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships as one of only two freshmen to compete in the event in Indianapolis.

In his 12th season in Golden, Colorado, Sparks claims his second RMAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year honor after leading the Orediggers to the team title at the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championship – their third consecutive RMAC women’s team indoor title.
