COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Westminster freshman attacker Duke DeVault and Colorado Mesa senior defender Caden Hathaway claimed the final Peach Belt Conference-Rocky Mountain Division Men’s Lacrosse Athletes of the Week, announced Monday.

The Peach Belt Conference’s four-team Rocky Mountain Division tournament begins Thursday, April 24, at divisional champion Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado. The division tournament winner then travels east for the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship on Friday, May 2, with the winner of that game earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse Championship. 

Offensive Player of the Week
Duke DeVault, Westminster (Freshman, Attack, Ladera Beach, Calif.)
DeVault scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Colorado Mesa as the Griffins went unbeaten in their final two regular season matches. In the 10-9 regular-season ending victory against Colorado Mesa, DeVault had a goal and two assists, scoring the goal three minutes into overtime. Earlier in the week, DeVault scored a goal in Westminster’s 18-5 victory against Adams State.
 
Honorable Mention: Connor Jensen, Colorado Mesa.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Caden Hathaway, Colorado Mesa (Senior, Defense, Dallas, Texas)
Hathaway matched his season-best with five takeaways in the Mavericks season-ending loss to Westminster. He also caused a pair of turnovers and had a shot on goal during the contest. Hathaway finished the regular season ranked fourth among RMAC defenders with 15 caused turnovers and sixth with 33 groundballs.  
 
Honorable Mention: Logan Huggard, Westminster.
