GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Concordia University Irvine junior attacker Jeremy Barnes was named the Peach Belt Conference / Rocky Mountain Division Attacker of the Year, the league announced Thursday, along with the league’s other major award winners and the divisional All-PBC rosters.
The Golden Eagles swept each of the four positional awards, with junior Max Texter earning Midfielder of the Year honors, graduate student Jake Cloutier earning the Defensive Player of the Year, and senior Daniel Yang claiming the division’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. Dominican University of California's Chase Pacenta was named the Freshman of the Year. Colorado Mesa head coach Troy Moyer won the division’s Coach of the Year award.
The league's five head coaches nominate and vote for the All-PBC Rocky Mountain Division teams and awards. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their players.
A Las Vegas, Nevada product, Barnes recorded a point in every game this season and finished 2025 with 21 goals and 20 assists, leading Concordia in assists and points. He finished the season with 15 goals and 13 assists in his last six games. Barnes led the division with 1.54 assists per game and ranked fourth in points per game (3.15). He had two game-winning goals in 2025, including an overtime winner against nationally ranked Rollins.
Texter, an Irvine, California native, scored 19 goals and seven assists during the 2025 campaign. Pacenta also ranked fourth in divisional goal scoring, averaging 2.25 goals per game in eight outings.
In his third season at Colorado Mesa, Moyer marshalled the Mavericks to the Rocky Mountain Division regular-season title in 2025, the program’s fifth consecutive regular-season title. Ranked nationally the entire season, the Mavericks finished the regular season with a 10-3 record, including a 7-1 divisional mark. Colorado Mesa led the division in goals scored (124), goal differential (+7.8), and allowed the fewest goals (62) – ranking among Division II’s top 12 in each category.
The 2025 All-PBC/Rocky Mountain Division rosters recognize twenty-seven student-athletes representing all five Rocky Mountain Division institutions. Concordia had eight student-athletes named to the teams—all first-team selections—and Colorado Mesa also had eight selections, with five first-team honorees.
