MSU Denver’s Boring and BHSU’s Peskey Capture RMAC Softball Weekly Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Metropolitan State University of Denver senior Alexia Boring and Black Hills State’s Laci Peskey are the Week 10 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Boring earns her first Player of the Week honor following a series sweep of Regis, while Peskey claims her fourth Pitcher of the Week award after striking out 30 batters in 18 innings last weekend.

Player of the Week: Alexia Boring, MSU Denver (Sr., Outfielder, Peoria, Arizona)
Boring led the Roadrunners to a dominant series sweep over Regis, extending her team's impressive record to 31-9 (26-5 RMAC). In the opening game, she delivered a standout performance with five RBI, three hits, two runs, and two home runs, posting a remarkable .750 on-base percentage and batting average. In the second game of the doubleheader, the senior added another home run, driving in two more runs, and finishing with one hit, one RBI, and one run. On Monday, Boring continued her hot streak, notching three hits, three RBI, and one run, finishing the third game with a .250 batting average and a scorching .667 in game four.

Pitcher of the Week: Laci Peskey, Black Hills State (So., Pitcher, Waller, Texas)
Peskey remained a force in the circle for the Yellow Jackets, guiding them to a series split with Colorado Christian. The four-time RMAC Softball Pitcher of the Week delivered a stellar 2-1 record across three appearances, which included one complete game and a relief stint. Over 18 innings, Peskey struck out 30 of the 73 batters she faced, allowing just four earned runs and finishing with a solid 1.56 ERA. She now ranks third in NCAA Division II with 188 strikeouts on the season, while her 16 wins are tied for 10th nationally.
