COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Christian University senior Adam Duncan is the 2024-25 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Year, the league announced Wednesday.
The conference’s major award winners and All-RMAC rosters were announced alongside Duncan’s award. Colorado Mesa University’s Leo Lavalle was named RMAC Freshman of the Year, while CCU’s Mark Hull earned his fifth Coach of the Year honor.
The All-RMAC rosters and major awards are made by a committee comprised of the RMAC Men’s and Women’s Coach Chairs, Men’s and Women’s RAC coach representatives, and a representative from the RMAC office after the NCAA Super Regionals. Coach of the Year is voted on by the league’s head coaches, coaches are not permitted to vote for themselves.
Duncan is the 2024-25 Golfer of the Year following another fantastic season. Ranked No. 1 in Division II, he competed in 11 tournaments this season, delivering consistently elite performances. He captured four tournament titles and secured top-five finishes in eight events. Duncan opened the season in dominant fashion at The Writz at Mile High, carding a sensational 16-under 200 to claim the individual title. He carried that momentum throughout the year, including a strong showing at the 2025 RMAC Men’s Golf Championship, where he finished fifth with an impressive 9-under 207.
Lavalle claims Freshman of the Year honors after a great opening season for the Mavericks. The freshman was a part of the 29th-ranked team in DII and placed third at the RMAC Championship. Personally, Lavalle, a native of Queretaro, Mexico, competed in ten tournaments for the Mavericks, with his best finish coming at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational. At this tournament, Lavalle posted a five-under 205 to secure a ninth-place finish.
Hull nabs his third consecutive Coach of the Year award after leading his squad to a dominant season. With Hull at the helm of the CCU squad, the Cougars are the No. 1-ranked team in DII and currently boast the No. 1, 2, 3, and 6-ranked players in the country. Of their eleven tournaments this season, the Cougars have taken gold in all but one, including the RMAC Championship and NCAA West/South Central Regional.
The 2024-25 All-RMAC rosters recognize 16 student-athletes representing five of the league’s seven members. Colorado Christian led all teams with six selections, all being on the First Team. Colorado School of Mines and Colorado State University Pueblo are represented by student-athletes each, while Colorado Mesa and Fort Lewis each claimed two roster spots.
