COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Adams State University senior Ava O’Connor is the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, the league announced Tuesday, along with the other major award winners and the All-RMAC roster.

New Mexico Highlands’ sophomore Rojrika Campbell is the 2025 Track Athlete of the Year after also winning the Dr. Randy Rhine Women’s Outdoor Track Performer of the Meet at this year’s RMAC Championships. Colorado School of Mines’ Emily LaMena is the league’s Freshman Track & Field Athlete of the Year. University of Colorado Colorado Springs head coach Ross Fellows, who led both the men’s and women’s teams to RMAC titles, is the Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year.

The RMAC awards are selected and voted on by the league’s 15 women’s outdoor track & field head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their players.

O’Connor, from  Emo, Ireland, is the RMAC Track Athlete of the Year after posting Division II’s best times in the 1,500-meter run and the 3,000-meter Steeplechase and the third-best time in the 5,000-meter run. She is scheduled to compete in both the 3,000-meter Steeplechase and 5,000-meter run at this week’s NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Campbell, of  St Elizabeth, Jamaica, posted the RMAC’s best marks in the long jump and triple jump this season and was selected to compete in the triple jump at the National Championships this week. At the RMAC Championships, she was the Dr. Randy Rhine Women’s Outdoor Track Performer of the Meet after winning both the long jump (5.94m, 19’ 6”) and triple jump (12.19m, 40’ 0”) and finishing second in the high jump with a personal best of 1.67m (5’ 5¾”). During the outdoor season, she won the triple jump three times and the long jump twice.

LaMena, a Huntington, New York product, won the 3,000-meter Steeplechase at the RMAC Championships by more than 14 seconds. She also set a personal best three weeks earlier at the Stanford Invitational. Her 10:21.58 is the seventh-best time in Division II this season, earning her a spot at the National Championships.

Fellows, in his ninth season leading the UCCS track and field program, led the Mountain Lions to their fifth RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the past six championships. UCCS will have four individuals competing in the Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships this week, led by senior Anna Fauske, who is set to compete in the 10,000-meter and 5,000-meter runs, junior Savannah Jorgens in the hammer throw, senior Victoria Malaki in the discus throw, and senior Rachel Richtman in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase.

Ninety-six individuals earned All-RMAC recognition for 130 total honors, with 14 institutions represented. The All-RMAC Teams are based on results at the RMAC Championships, with first-, second-, and third-place finishers named First Team All-RMAC and fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-place finishers earning Second Team All-RMAC recognition. Additionally, members of the first-place relay teams earned First Team All-RMAC honors, while second-place relay teams received Second Team All-RMAC recognition.
