GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Regis University senior catcher Adam Paniagua and Colorado State University Pueblo senior starting pitcher Travis Farrell won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively, the league announced Wednesday, along with the league’s other major award winners and the All-RMAC teams.

Adams State University freshman outfielder Josiah Hall is the league’s Freshman Player of the Year. Grizzlies freshman right-hander Joseph Marek and ThunderWolves freshman right-hander Tyler Clementz are the RMAC Co-Freshman Pitchers of the Year. Colorado Mesa head coach Chris Hanks won his 13th RMAC Coach of the Year award.

The league's nine head coaches nominated and voted for the All-RMAC teams and awards. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their players.

Paniagua, a Phoenix, Arizona native, leads all Division II hitters with 96 RBI this season while also ranking among the division’s Top 10 in batting average (10th, .437), home runs (3rd, 26), runs scored (9th, 71), and slugging percentage (2nd, .958). He had six five-RBI games and 25 multi-RBI games during the season. Paniagua began March with a multi-RBI outing in 11 of the month’s first 12 games, recording 43 RBI during the stretch.

Farrell, a Las Vegas, Nevada product, enters the RMAC tournament with an 8-2 record, 4.78 ERA, and 60 strikeouts in 69.2 innings pitched. He was tied for the league lead in victories and third in strikeouts. In league play, he posted a 4-2 record in seven starts and struck out 31 batters in 39.1 innings pitched. Farrell recorded wins in all four of his February starts and won three straight in RMAC play against Regis, at Colorado Christian, and against Colorado School of Mines.

Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Hall played in 41 games during his first season and batted .404 with 15 home runs and 53 RBI. He ranked among the league’s Top 10 in batting average (8th), home runs (5th), and RBI (10th).  Hall enjoyed an impressive five-game stretch in mid-April that saw him post five consecutive multi-hit outings, four multi-RBI games, and hit a home run in four straight games, finishing the stretch 11-for-21, with four home runs, three doubles, and 13 RBI.

Clementz, a Gilbert, Arizona native, posted a 3-2 record with a save in 13 appearances and four starts. He struck out 34 batters in 38.0 innings during the season. All three of his wins came in RMAC action during the final four weeks, including in quality starts against New Mexico Highlands on April 13 and MSU Denver on April 18. His lone save of the campaign came at Colorado Christian on March 28.

Marek, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, amassed a 4-3 record in 11 appearances, including eight starts. He struck out 35 batters in 43.0 innings of work for the Grizzlies. Three of his four wins came in conference play, with the other coming in a nonconference outing against St. Cloud State in early March. During the season, Marek also picked up wins with quality starts against Colorado School of Mines and MSU Denver.

Hanks, in his 25th season at the Mavericks’ helm, earns his 13th Coach of the Year award. He led Colorado Mesa to its 13th consecutive RMAC regular-season title and 20th during his tenure. Hanks recorded his 1,100th victory this season in CMU’s April 25 victory against Rollins College. CMU finished its regular season slate with a 36-11 overall record and 26-4 RMAC mark, including a 24-3 record (18-2 in RMAC play) in home games.

The 2025 All-RMAC rosters recognize 37 student-athletes representing eight of the league’s nine members. Colorado Mesa led all teams with eight student-athletes on the All-RMAC teams. The league also recognized its top defensive players with nine individuals named to the Gold Glove Team.
