The Orediggers received 140 total points and nine of the 12 first-place votes. Colorado School of Mines is coming off another stellar season, highlighted by winning the 2024 RMAC Women’s Soccer Championship against Fort Lewis and advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship. While there will be some changes in Golden, Colorado, this season—with four of the five 2024 All-RMAC honorees no longer on the roster—the Orediggers continue to command national respect, entering the season ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs lands at No. 2 in the RMAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll with 130 points and three first-place votes. Colorado Mesa University (117 points) and Metropolitan State University of Denver (109 points) follow closely in third and fourth place, respectively. Fort Lewis College rounds out the top five with 95 points.
The remainder of the preseason poll includes Westminster University (90), Regis University (76), Colorado Christian University (71), Colorado State University Pueblo (52), Western Colorado University (50), Black Hills State University (34), Adams State University (31), and New Mexico Highlands University (19).
Last season, Campos was one of the most outstanding players in the RMAC, finishing the season with 14 goals, five game-winning goals, seven assists, and 35 points. Campos was also one of two RMAC student-athletes to record a hat trick during the 2024 season, netting three goals against Adams State.
In addition to the league returning its reigning Player of the Year, it sees Freshman of the Year honoree Malia Groshong and Goalkeeper of the Year Keely Wieczorek named to the 2025 Preseason All-RMAC team. Groshong was a key defender in a UCCS unit that allowed 14 goals in conference play. She started all 18 regular-season games for the Mountain Lions—one of only two UCCS players to do so in 2024. Wieczorek led the league with eight shutouts in 12 RMAC matches. She allowed only five goals in conference outings, posting a .428 goals-against average while making 36 saves and securing a .878 save percentage.
The RMAC’s 13 women’s soccer teams are looking to finish 2025 at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, the host of the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s & Women’s Soccer Championships. The women’s championship sees the national semifinals played on Thursday, Dec. 11, followed by the national championship on Saturday, Dec. 13. Ticket information for the national championship will be available at NCAA.com at a later date.
All RMAC women’s soccer matches broadcast by its 15 full-member institutions and associate members will only be available for purchase via a single-game pass or a monthly or annual subscription. Revenue generated by the network will be redistributed to the league’s membership to enhance their programs.
In conjunction with the launch of the new pay-per-view plans, the first RMAC Network “Peak Pricing” sale is available until August 17. During the sale, fans can purchase an annual subscription for $120 by using the code RMACELEVATE25 during the purchasing process.
Additionally, a discounted annual subscription price will be available to students, faculty, and staff of each member institution throughout the year. Purchasing options and pricing for individual RMAC Championships will be announced closer to each event.
