COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has announced its Week 3 RMAC Volleyball Players of the Week, with Colorado Mesa University’s Sadie Scoville, South Dakota Mines’ Hannah Benes, and Colorado Christian University’s Krista Traynor taking home the latest honors.
Offensive
Sadie Scoville, Colorado Mesa (Senior, Outside Hitter, Pleasant Grove, Utah)
Scoville powered the Mavericks to a flawless 2-0 road trip, taking down Adams State and New Mexico Highlands in back-to-back matchups. She opened the weekend on fire, notching a season-high 19 kills (3.80 per set) along with 18 digs to earn her third double-double of the 2025 season. Her dominant performance helped CMU edge Adams State in a thrilling 3-2 victory. Scoville kept the momentum rolling the next day against New Mexico Highlands, racking up 11 kills on an impressive .435 hitting percentage to lead the Mavericks to a decisive sweep of the Cowgirls. Over the two-match stretch, Scoville totaled 30 kills while hitting .314 and averaging 4.19 points per set.

Defensive
Hannah Benes, South Dakota Mines (Senior, Defensive Specialist/Libero, Antioch, Illinois)
Benes played a pivotal role in the Hardrockers’ undefeated weekend on the road, delivering standout defensive performances against Western Colorado and Fort Lewis. The Antioch, Illinois native opened the trip with a rock-solid showing against the Mountaineers, racking up 16 digs (5.33 per set) in a three-set sweep. She followed that effort with an outstanding 25 digs in a five-set battle (5.00 digs per set) against Fort Lewis. For the week, Benes totaled 41 digs and posted the third-highest dig total in the RMAC. She now ranks third in the conference in both total digs and digs per set on the season.

Setter
Krista Traynor, Colorado Christian (Junior, Setter, Seattle, Washington)
Traynor continued to lead the Cougar offense from her setter position, as CCU hosted Chadron State and Regis. In the week’s opening match, Traynor stuffed the stat sheet with 51 assists, five blocks, and three kills, giving the Cougars a 3-2 win over the Eagles. Against the Rangers, Traynor once made an imprint on the game, collecting 25 assists, 20 digs, and 13 kills. Her all-around performance helped push her team past Regis in another five-setter. In total, the junior had 76 assists, 30 digs, 13 kills, and six blocks, as the Cougars improved to 7-3 on the season.
