COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University redshirt senior Timmy Cavarno claims his first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week honor of the 2025-26 season following a historic performance for the Mavericks at the San Juan Intercollegiate, the conference announced Thursday.

The Redlands, California native was locked in from start to finish, opening with a steady 1-under-par 70. He followed that with a scorching, bogey-free 6-under 65 in Round 2, a round that helped lift the Mavericks to a team score of 270, the second-lowest single-round total in program history. Cavarno closed strong with a 2-under-par 69, finishing the tournament at 204 (-9) overall. His play across all three rounds was highlighted by an impressive 17 birdies and a team title. Up next, the Mavericks will head to Akumal, Mexico, to compete in the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya hosted by Western New Mexico.
