COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa sophomore Lorianna Piestewa is the Week 7 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Piestewa, the No. 7-ranked wrestler at 124 pounds, delivered a perfect 5–0 performance to lead the Mavericks at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals, highlighted by two victories over fellow nationally ranked opponents. On the opening day of competition, she dominated with technical fall wins over Siena Van Balen (West Liberty) in just 26 seconds and Jada Hernandez (William Jewell) in three minutes. Piestewa also notched a statement victory over top-ranked Shelby Moore of McKendree, earning a decisive 10–4 decision. She closed out the NWCA National Duals in equally impressive fashion, defeating fourth-ranked Alyssa Mahan of Presbyterian, 12–6, before bumping up to 131 pounds and posting a 10–0 technical fall against Sacred Heart’s Bella Sowards. Piestewa’s final win helped secure a 33–13 victory for the Mavericks in the seventh-place dual.
