Qunell bookended the holiday break with impressive performances at December’s UNLV Invitational and in a double dual against the University of Denver and University of Wyoming in January.  In Las Vegas, she set a career best and an NCAA Championship provisional qualifying time in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:58.54 in the finals. She was also part of the Mavericks' winning 200 medley relay team and second-place 400 medley relay squad. One month later, she finished second in all four events she competed in against Denver and Wyoming.

Diver

Jenna Hurley, Colorado Mesa (Junior, Southlake, Texas)
Hurley reached the finals in both the one-meter and three-meter events at the UNLV Invitational prior to the holiday break, finishing second in the 3-meter event. Her 265.60 in the 3-meter finals was a season best and secured her spot in the NCAA’s Pre-Championship Qualification Meet. Hurley scored a 237.85 in the 1-meter event at UNLV and finished eighth in that event. In the Mavericks’ double-dual against Denver and Wyoming, Hurley finished seventh in both the 1-meter (222.45) and 3-meter (247.00) events, leading CMU in the 1-meter competition.
