COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University senior swimmer Olivia Hansson and Western Colorado University senior diver Alexandra Wallis are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s women’s swimming weekly award winners for the period Jan. 19-25, announced Thursday.
Swimmer
Olivia Hansson, Colorado Mesa (Senior, Kivik, Sweden)
Hansson posted two wins in Colorado Mesa’s double dual against Brigham Young University and Air Force last week in Provo, Utah. She won the 500 and 1,650 freestyle competitions, posting a season-best time of 4:49.90 in the 500 freestyle and then a 16:45.29 mark in the 1,650 freestyle. Hansson added a personal best in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:25.52. She posted an NCAA “B” qualifying mark in all four events she competed in during the double dual.

Diver
Alexandra Wallis, Western Colorado (Senior, Thornton, Colorado)
Wallis recorded season-best 438.90 in 11 dives off the 1-meter board in Western Colorado’s dual against Adams State last week. The mark secured her an NCAA Diving Qualification mark and joined her 6-dive qualifying mark from earlier in the season.
