COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University’s redshirt senior forward Tyler Allred and Colorado School of Mines’ junior forward Alex Romack are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, presented by Genesee Nutrition.
Offensive
Ty Allred, Colorado Mesa (Redshirt Senior, Forward, Mona, Utah)
Allred led the Mavericks to a strong win over Regis University in their lone game of the week. He helped Colorado Mesa to score a season-high of 90 points over the Rangers’ 62. The Mona, Utah native totaled 26 points, while adding 9 rebounds, three assists, and a block. Allred went 9-for-14 from the field, including 5-for-7 from three-point range. This was Allred’s fifth game with 20+ points.

Alex Romack, Colorado School of Mines (Junior, Forward, Westfield, Indiana)
Romack’s strong defensive showing against Northern New Mexico College helped give the Orediggers the edge to defeat the Eagles 92-84. He recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while blocking two shots and adding one steal. Romack shot 7-for-11 from the floor and 3-for-5 on the free throw line. Romack has matched his career total of double-doubles just 15 games into the season.
