Chadron State’s Keegan Gehlhausen Secures Wrestler of the Week Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Chadron State College redshirt senior Keegan Gehlhausen is the Week 11 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Gehlhausen claims the Wrestler of the Week award after recording two bonus-point victories as Chadron State closed its RMAC season with duals against Western Colorado and Colorado Mesa. Against Western Colorado, he pinned Erik Anderson in 1:22, providing crucial bonus points that helped the Eagles rally from a 17-7 deficit after seven matches to take an 18-17 lead after nine bouts. Against Colorado Mesa, Gehlhausen earned a 17-4 major decision over Noah O’Dougherty, tallying five takedowns and securing the riding-time point. He recorded at least one takedown in each period, with the only points allowed coming on escapes. Gehlhausen finished the RMAC dual season with a perfect 4-0 record.
