Mavericks’ Brock & Golden Eagles’ Cloutier Named RMAC’s Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Award Winners

Brock’s five-point day leads Colorado Mesa to season-opening win, Cloutier leads defense that allows only 19 goals in weekend road trip split

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –   Colorado Mesa University redshirt freshman midfielder Aidan Brock and Concordia University Irvine graduate defender Jake Cloutier are the Week 2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week, presented Monday.

Offensive

Aidan Brock, Colorado Mesa (Freshman (RS), Midfielder, Highlands Ranch, Colorado)
Brock scored three goals as part of a five-point outing that led Colorado Mesa to a 19-4 victory at Adams State on Saturday. He had an efficient day in Alamosa, scoring on each of the three shots he took in the second half, while his two assists also came on second-half goals for the Mavericks. It was his career debut with Colorado Mesa after redshirting last season.

Defensive

Jake Cloutier, Concordia University Irvine (Graduate, Defender, Simi Valley, California)
Cloutier led a Golden Eagles defense that held Alabama-Huntsville and Lees-McRae to a combined 19 goals as they split a weekend road trip in Knoxville, Tennessee. Cloutier recorded five ground balls and three caused turnovers in CUI's 21-8 victory at Alabama-Huntsville. He added four ground balls and three caused turnovers in an 11-9 loss at Lees-McRae.
