COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Colorado freshman Jabyn Kemble is the Week 12 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Jabyn Kemble, Western Colorado (Freshman, 125 pounds, Middleton, Idaho)
Kemble set the tone for Western Colorado in its upset win over No. 22 Colorado Mesa. Facing Adonias Cantu, he trailed 10-5 entering the third period but began on top. Kemble quickly turned Cantu to his back and secured the fall at 6:04, giving the Mountaineers a lead they would not surrender. Powered by Kemble’s pivotal victory, Western went on to defeat the Mavericks 26-18, notching its 10th win of the season.
