COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Simon Fraser University senior Liv Wieber has been named the 2025-26 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestler of the Year, leading the 2025-26 All-RMAC Women’s Wrestling Teams and major award winners.
Simon Fraser’s Agnia Krakovska and Chadron State’s Adrianna Lopez are the RMAC Women’s Wrestling Co-Freshmen of the Year. For the third consecutive year, Simon Fraser head coach Justin Abdou is the Coach of the Year. Additionally, 20 student-athletes were named to the All-RMAC first and second teams.
The league’s five head women’s wrestling coaches nominated and voted for the RMAC Women’s Wrestling Major Awards, with coaches unable to vote for their own wrestlers. The All-RMAC teams were determined by the top two finishers in each weight class at the RMAC Women’s Wrestling Championships.
Wieber earned RMAC Women’s Wrestler of the Year honors after delivering a standout season for the Red Leafs. The senior posted an impressive 18-2 record, capturing titles at the Simon Fraser Open, Mike Clock Open, and Brock Open. She punctuated her dominant run with a gold medal performance at the 2026 RMAC Women’s Wrestling Championship. Her success on the mat also garnered national recognition, as she rose to No. 4 at 145 pounds in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) rankings.
Krakovska and Lopez shared Co-Freshman of the Year honors following outstanding seasons for the Red Leafs and Eagles, respectively. Krakovska posted a 15-4 record during the 2025–26 campaign, punctuating her impressive debut with a first-place finish at 131 pounds at the 2026 RMAC Women’s Wrestling Championship.Lopez also made a strong impact in her redshirt-freshman season, compiling a 21-14 record and securing a fourth-place finish at the 2026 RMAC Championship.
Abdou captured his third consecutive RMAC Women’s Wrestling Coach of the Year honor after guiding the Red Leafs through another exceptional campaign. Under his leadership, Simon Fraser compiled a 7-4 overall record, including an unblemished mark in conference duals. The Red Leafs dominated the RMAC Championship, amassing a commanding 309.5 points behind six individual titles and six additional podium finishes. The triumph capped a remarkable season for SFU, securing its third straight regular-season crown, first tournament title, and reinforcing its status as the RMAC’s Preseason No. 1 team.
All five RMAC women’s wrestling sponsoring institutions are represented across the 20 spots on the league’s First and Second Team All-RMAC rosters. Simon Fraser paced the conference with nine total selections, followed by Colorado Mesa with five.
