Colorado School of Mines’ Fallon and South Dakota Mines’ Fink Named RMAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

Fallon improves his school and RMAC record in the 400-meter dash; Fink marks an NCAA provisional qualifying throw

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –  Colorado School of Mines' Jonah Fallon and South Dakota Mines' Augustus Fink, have earned the final Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Weekly Men's Indoor Track & Field honors of the 2025-26 indoor season. 
 
The 2026 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships are this Friday and Saturday, featuring qualifiers from around the league competing at the Mountaineer Field House on the campus of Western Colorado University. 
 
Track Athlete of the Week
Jonah Fallon, Colorado School of Mines (Redshirt Junior, Batavia, Illinois)

Fallon improved his Colorado School of Mines and RMAC record in the 400-meter dash, running 46.48 at the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday, improving his previous record of 46.52. His time ranks as the third best in the nation and is the RMAC's top time by nearly a second.

Field Athlete of the Week
Augustus FinkSouth Dakota Mines (Junior, Three Lakes, Wisconsin)

At the Myrle Hansen Open, Fink hit an NCAA Division II provisional mark of 19.35 meters to earn first place. Fink also threw a career-best of 14.35 meters in the shot put to finish in third place. Heading into the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championship, he is ranked second in the conference and No. 12 in NCAA Division II with a mark of 20.34 meters in the weight throw that he set at the SDSU Indoor Classic earlier this season.
