CSU Pueblo’s DMR Team runs fourth-fastest time ever; Black Hills State’s Drew Lehman shatters own school record

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –  Colorado State University Pueblo’s men’s distance medley relay team and Black Hills State’s Drew Lehman have earned this week’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Indoor Track & Field weekly honors. 
 
Track Team of the Week
CSU Pueblo Distance Medley Relay Team (Caleb McLeod, Ryan King, Tim Anstett, and Jon Sweepe)
CSU Pueblo’s men’s distance medley relay team delivered a blazing performance at the New Mexico Open. The squad of Caleb McLeod, Ryan King, Tim Anstett, and Jon Sweepe ran a time of 9:33.55 (converted), winning the event and shattering the Thunderwolves’ previous school record of 9:41.02. The quartet’s performance was a national success, as it was the fourth-fastest time ever recorded in NCAA Division II history.

Field Athlete of the Week
Drew Lehman, Black Hills State (Sophomore, Custer, South Dakota)
After breaking a 50-year-old Black Hills State record in the triple jump just two weeks ago, Lehman rebroke his own record and became the first Yellow Jacket to ever jump over 50 feet in the event. At the Chadron State College Don Holst Open, he marked a 15.26-meter (50’ 0.75”) jump to win the event. Lehman’s mark currently stands as the best in the RMAC and puts him at No. 7 in the event nationally.
