COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Christian University senior Arriana Wright and Metropolitan State University of Denver junior Natalie Romero claim the Week 6 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the week awards, respectively, the conference announced Tuesday.

Arriana Wright, Colorado Christian (Senior, First Base, Houston, Texas)
Wright was named the Week 6 RMAC Softball Player of the Week after leading Colorado Christian to a four-game series sweep of Regis. The senior totaled 15 RBI in the series, along with three home runs and an impressive .583 batting average. Behind her standout performances this series, the Cougars secured the 500th win in program history.
Wright’s best outing came in the series opener, when she went 2-for-2 with two home runs and seven RBI, including a grand slam that blew the game open and extended the lead to 11-0, powering CCU to a 21-1 victory over the Rangers.

Natalie Romero, MSU Denver (Junior, Pitcher, Anaheim, California)
Romero is the Pitcher of the Week following three appearances and two wins against Colorado School of Mines. The junior tossed two complete games in the series sweep over the Orediggers, totaling 15 innings of work while allowing just three earned runs on eight hits and striking out seven.
In the series opener, Romero delivered a complete-game performance, allowing two runs on four hits over seven innings to earn the win. She was even sharper in game three, tossing another complete game while surrendering just two hits, striking out three, and carrying a no-hitter into the sixth.
