COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University freshman Henry Starr is the Week 8 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday.

Starr earned Golfer of the Week honors after a standout performance at the Coyote Classic in Beaumont, California, where he finished second in a competitive field of 80 players. Competing on a par-72 course, Starr posted rounds of 4-under 68, 3-under 69, and 2-under 70 to finish at 9-under-par (207 total). His runner-up finish marks the best of his young CMU career. Starr tallied 13 birdies and two eagles over the tournament, helping lead Colorado Mesa to a fourth-place team finish.
