DENVER, Colo. – The 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse major award winners were announced on Thursday ahead of the 2026 RMAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship. Four of the league’s six women’s lacrosse sponsoring institutions had a student-athlete claim an individual award.
Announced alongside the conference’s major awards were the 2026 All-RMAC Teams. Regis University’s Maggie Schipfer and Brigit Goetsch earned Attacker and Goalkeeper of the Year honors, respectively, while Colorado Mesa University’s Avery Irlbeck was named Midfielder of the Year. University of Colorado Colorado Springs’s Ella Mills received Freshman of the Year recognition. Representing Westminster College, Marianna Dick was honored as Defensive Player of the Year, and Ashley Tack was named Coach of the Year.
The league’s six head women’s lacrosse coaches nominated and voted for the RMAC Women’s Lacrosse Major Awards and All-RMAC teams, with coaches unable to vote for their own student-athletes.
Schipfer is the RMAC Attacker of the Year after leading the Rangers’ offensive attack throughout the 2026 season. The senior from Colorado Springs tallied 48 goals this season on 71 total shots on goal, giving her an efficient .703 shot-on-goal percentage. She recorded her highest goal total of the season against Westminster, when she found the back of the net seven times. With Schipfer at the helm of the Regis offense, the Rangers earned a 12-5 record this season, propelling them to the No. 1 overall seed in the 2026 RMAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship.
Irlbeck claims the Midfielder of the Year award after leading the Mavericks to a 6-11 mark that earned them the No. 4 seed in the conference championship. On the field, Irlbeck collected 51 draw controls, which ranks fourth in the conference this season. When she isn’t anchoring the Mavs defense, Irlbeck is getting it done on the offensive end of the field, recording 23 total shots, 19 shots on goal, and 10 goals.
Dick earns Defensive Player of the Year honors after another outstanding season. Throughout the 2026 season, the Coronado, California, native earned two RMAC Defensive Player of the Week awards. Dick collected 38 groundballs while forcing 51 turnovers, with her impressive total of caused turnovers ranking third in DII this season. She has been a model of efficiency on the defensive end all season, with zero fouls in 14 games.
Goetsch earns the Goalkeeper of the Year award after protecting the cage for the Rangers throughout 2026. In her 941 minutes of action this season, the graduate student faced 415 total shots, only allowing 152 to get past her. Her outstanding .521 save percentage ranks fourth in DII this season, while her 165 total saves rank sixth.
After an outstanding debut campaign, Mills is the league’s Freshman of the Year. She leads the Mountain Lions in goals this season, collecting 44 on a wildly efficient .831 shot-on-goal percentage. The freshman started 13 of the Mountain Lions 15 games this season, helping her team claim a share of the 2026 RMAC Women’s Lacrosse regular season title.
In her first year as the head coach of the Westminster Griffins, Tack secured the RMAC Coach of the Year title after leading her squad to a 9-5 overall record, including a 7-3 conference mark. The Griffins are the No. 3 seed in the conference championship, with a first-round matchup against UCCS on deck.
All of the RMAC’s women’s lacrosse sponsoring institutions are represented among the 29 selections to the league’s First and Second Team All-RMAC squads. Regis, UCCS, Westminster, Colorado Mesa, and Colorado State University Pueblo all had one or more honorees on the First Team, while Fort Lewis College placed two student-athletes on the Second Team roster.
