COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Mesa University Freshman Molli Magaña and University of Colorado Colorado Springs Sophomore Autumn Kunze are the latest winners of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week awards, with Magaña earning the Player of the Week honor and Kunze seizing the Pitching award.

Molli Magaña, Colorado Mesa (Freshman, Infield, Windsor, Colorado)
Magaña earns Player of the Week honors after powering Colorado Mesa to a 3-1 series victory over Chadron State.
The freshman from Windsor was dominant at the plate, recording six hits in 12 appearances while driving in 11 runs, scoring 11 times, and blasting five home runs. She led the Mavericks with 21 total bases.
Her standout performance came in Game 2, where she went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, five RBI, and two home runs. She followed that with another multi-homer performance in Game 3, again launching two long balls.
For the week, Magaña posted an impressive .500 batting average, a 1.750 slugging percentage, and a .667 on-base percentage, capping a remarkable stretch at the plate.

Pitcher
Autumn Kunze, UCCS (Sophomore, Pitcher, Chandler, Arizona)
Kunze delivered a dominant performance in the circle, leading the Mountain Lions to a series sweep over Regis. Across three appearances, the senior went 2-0 with a save, allowing just one earned run over 12.2 innings for a stellar 0.55 ERA. She limited opponents to nine hits, one walk, and two hit batters while striking out 11.
Kunze got the start in Friday’s opener and allowed just one earned run over six innings in an 11-1 run-rule victory. She gave up six hits and one walk, while striking out four to earn her 11th win of the season.
She continued to shine on Saturday, entering Game 3 in the fifth inning with a 2-1 lead and tossing three hitless innings with four strikeouts to secure her fourth save of the year.
Kunze was called on again in a high-pressure moment in the series finale, entering in the fourth inning with one out and runners on first and second while protecting a 5-4 lead. She retired the next two batters to escape the jam, then delivered three more shutout innings to close out a 6-4 win and earn her 12th victory of the season.
