UCCS’ Goldsworth and CSU Pueblo’s James Receive Latest RMAC Softball Weekly Honors

Goldworth owns the plate in UCCS’ series sweep; James pitches two complete games in a sweep

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs junior Jennavieve Goldsworth and Colorado State University Pueblo senior McKenna James claim the latest Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, respectively, the conference announced Tuesday.

Goldworth earns her second Player of the Week award of the 2026 softball season after guiding UCCS to a series sweep of Adams State.

The junior was dominant throughout the series, opening the four-game stretch with four plate appearances, recording three hits, three runs, and one RBI on an impressive .750 batting average, 1.750 slugging, and .800 on-base percentage. She followed this up with another great outing, this time going a perfect 4-for-4 in an 8-4 win over the Grizzlies, scoring three more runs and adding a double and two stolen bases.

In Game 3, Goldworth went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI as UCCS won 13-6. The series finale saw her record another 4-for-4 performance, this time notching four runs, a double, a triple, an RBI, a walk, and two stolen bases in a 17-3 run-rule victory.

In total, the Roseville, California, native was 13-of-16 at the plate with 13 runs, three RBI, and eight stolen bases on a .813 batting average, 1.313 slugging percentage, and a .842 on-base percentage.

For the third time this season, James is the league’s Pitcher of the Week, this time after claiming two complete-game wins in CSU Pueblo’s sweep of Colorado Mesa.

The senior from Windsor logged a team-high 13 innings across her two appearances, allowing just four earned runs while striking out eight and limiting hitters to a .286 batting average.
In her first complete game of the series, James faced 28 batters in six innings, holding the Mavericks to a .286 batting average as the ThunderWolves won 12-7. In her second appearance in the circle, James pitched all seven innings, this time recording a 1.00 ERA, three strikeouts, and one earned run as her squad won 13-7.
